Pets at Cwmcroiddur

A visiting dog

We welcome pets in both Croiddur Barn and Barcud Cottage. We normally limit this to one well-behaved dog, although we are happy to discuss this, as obviously, two small dogs maybe less of an impact than one large dog. Our rules for dogs are very straightforward.

  • Dogs must stay downstairs.
  • They must be kept off the furniture.
  • They should never be left unattended.
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead when outside (apart from designated area)

Most people bring their own bedding for their dog as it's not something that we can provide.

Because almost all of the land surrounding us is used for grazing sheep (including our woodland), dogs must be kept on a lead when outside. The exception is our field opposite Cwmcroiddur, which is kept free of sheep and is an ideal place for a dog to get some exercise.

Most of the local pubs welcome dogs and your pet is likely to get lots of friendly attention from the locals.
